Common Entrance Examination (CEE) is conducted by Assam to get admission is several faculties in different colleges that offer engineering education in the state under the supervision of Directorate of Technical Education. There are two colleges that are listed being government colleges to study engineering education in the state of Assam.
Names of these two colleges are Jorhat Engineering College located in Jorhat and Assam Engineering College located in Guwahati. Courses that are being offered by these two colleges are BAMS, BDS and MBBS. According to the admission procedure, a student has to pass 10+2 exam with Mathematic, Physics and Chemistry as their major subjects or any other equivalent examination to apply for CEE examination. On the hand, those students are also eligible to appear in the entrance examinations, who have already given qualifying exam.
To appear in Assam Common Entrance Examination, one has to download an application form from their official website and send it back to the authorities along with application fee in shape of Demand Draft. Selection of the students is purely based on merit and test is normally conducted between May and June every year. List of the candidates who are declared as passed is printed in leading newspapers of the state along with the notice boards of the colleges.
