CMA Awards 2010

According to reports the 44th Annual CMA Awards will air live on 10th November 2010 on Wednesday from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The ceremony will start at 8 p.m. EST. It’s one of the most awaited events for the industry and each year this event brings colors and joy for everyone. Fans call it ‘Country Music’s Biggest Night’ because it’s a special night for music lovers. The Country Music Association and ABC Television Network made the announcement.

Each year the CMA Awards ceremony draws the highest number of viewers and ranks on top. Nomination’s eligibility period is from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010 and it will be handled through online systems. There are total 12 categories and voting will be conducted in two rounds.

A report says that “It’s a night to recognize and honor our finest performers, songwriters, record producers, musicians and music video directors.”

The Country Music Association Awards are best known as CMA Awards were presented first time in 1967. In 1969, CMA awards were televised live and the ceremony usually held in October or November each year. Since 2006, awards show has been held at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The twelve categories of the CMA Awards are: Musician, Music Video, Male Vocalist, Entertainer, Female Vocalist, Vocal Group, New Artist, Vocal Duo, Album, Single, Song and Musical Event. This show covers almost all categories from top country music stars to up-and-coming new artists. There are also separate categories for radio broadcasters.
