John Legend warbled lines on FIFI World Cup celebrations

John Legend fully admits this fact that like many Americans, he too does not appear to be a die hard fan of soccer but this does not stop him from being a part of the extravaganza of FIFA World Cup. Yesterday night was filled with the colors to enjoy with since there were the celebrations for the World Cup 2010.

Many celebs joined the fiesta and one of them was John Legend. The likes of Shakira, Black Eyed Peas and John showcased their skills to let the audiences and the world enjoy with the beats they offered at the occasion. In an interview, John said that the soccer was an easy game to follow and he was much happy that the world cup was happening in South Africa.

Further he told that the interest for soccer developed inside him with the last world cup happened in 2006. His performance oozed out with the famed singer cum lyricist Angelique Kidjo of Benin.

John Legend expressed his views about the music and soccer saying, ‘music is a universal language and so is soccer’. He tweeted his love for South Africa and thanked the citizens of the country for welcoming him wonderfully.

Hugh Masakela, the South African trumpet enticed a lot as well with the performance. Shakira really pulled the crowd with her hip shaking dance movements crooning ‘hips don’t lie’.

John Legend enjoyed every bit of his concert and the audiences conferred their true love feelings for the star.
