Meg Whitman, what is money for after all?

Politics is like showbiz and both run with money and if you are the fourth richest woman of California like Meg Whitman then you must have a sense to use this money in these two glittering spheres where money makes (every) mare go.

Meg Whitman is now the Republican nominee for the governorship and many political pundits are talking about White House.

Meg Whitman got the nomination yester day by securing 1,101,074 votes and the money spent to get these votes was $ 81 million and out of these $ 81 million, $ 71 million came out of Meg Whitman pocket to get the nomination in primaries. It means a single vote cost her $ 73.56, and November is still ahead where she has to win. What would that cost her? No speculations but it would be in billions.

Meg Whitman spent huge to win primaries and her spending was $ 100 million more what Mc Cain spent on his presidential campaign in 2008 and it was $ 58 million more what Bush spent in 2004.

No doubt, Meg Whitman is a billionaire and she said that she was willing of spending $ 150 million and as it is not White House money and you are running from Republican side it would cost you $ 73.56 to impress one Republican to vote for you.

As our president Obama secured 69,456,897 votes to win the presidential elections it can be speculated that billionaire Meg Whitman can win the presidential elections with such a mammoth wealth at her back and it may give some stability to dwindling American economy as in case Meg Whitman goes for presidential elections, according to some humble calculations it would cost her $ 5.1 billion to become the president of America. Not a bad deal, after all what is money for?
