Phish

Considering the fact that their music is never the same sounding when they step on to the stage and given their ability to drastically improvise their own compilations, the moniker Phish definitely does suit this musical ensemble of 4 of some of the most gifted and talented musicians you will ever get to either meet or listen to performing live; the latter being an experience of its own kind.

The latest in that string of those live experiences was delivered in the Chicago based Toyota Park by the members of Phish as they registered the commencement of their touring schedule and routine for this year’s summer season. What was most amazing and definitely a sweet treat for the ears was getting to listen to Phish covering some off their oldest compilations – as old as from sixteen years ago – and improvising with them during a live act. When you listen to them while they perform on the

stage; you sort of do become a believer in the statement / opinion that this band was made for the live stage, not for the closed world of the studio recording.

To start off the eve, the crowd got to interact with Trey Anastasio – the entrancing guitarist – who came forth and cheered with the dwellers of Chicago on the securing of the Stanley Cup by their very own Chicago Blackhawks. And in addition to their live gig, the members of Phish will also be back in another familiar environment; sharing stage moments with the tenured Jimmy Fallon.
