In the recent days political news are gaining the attention of the internet users. The race for the Governor of Maine is getting tougher and tougher. Seven candidates tried their luck for the race and threw their coins into the ring for testing their luck but luck supports only the special ones and that special person is chosen by luck itself. An election was conducted by the Democratic and Republican parties. Paul LePage was chosen as the Republican Nominee and Libby Mitchell was chosen as Democratic nominee. That election was conducted by both the parties for choosing the candidates who will take part in the contest of November election for replacing Gov. John Baldacci. This party election is called primary. It is reported on the precincts as 79% and out of that only 38% Votes were cast in the favor of Waterville mayor Paul LePage thus declaring him the winner. He got more than 36,000 votes.

During the declaration of the results, he was present in his Waterville hometown. He also knew that his win would create a surprise for many people all around the state. He said that when they started the race nobody was admitting his win and his win showed that they were wrong and they had to call him a black horse within a couple of months.

According to him fiscal responsibility was missing in the Augusta from years and he has the ability for bringing that to the table. In case he is elected as Governor, he would prefer three things welfare, taxes and education.
