In an order to lower down the embarrassment level after tri-nation series, Indian bowlers showed some discipline and stamina in their first T20 match against Zimbabwe and restrained them to a meager 111 runs. Zimbabwe is playing their first T20 match against India today at Harare Sports Club and their moral is very high as they recently won tri-nation series played among Zimbabwe, India and Sri Lanka. In the final, they defeated Sri Lanka to grab the trophy in their name. India, who even could not manage to reach to tri-nation final, is facing a lot of criticism for that series. But today, they are looking in better rhythm and pace.

From home side, Chamu Chibhabha and Craig Ervine were the most successful batsmen who made 40 and 30 runs respectively. Brendan Taylor made 15 runs, he was looking fast in the game and it seemed as he had planned a fast game but the bowlers showed him pavilion soon. Indian bowlers took first wicket, in the very first over when Vinay Kumar showed pavilion to Hamilton Masakadza, he could score just 1 run.

For India, fast bowler R. Vinay Kumar was the most successful bowler who took three wickets after giving just 24 runs. Ashok Dinda and Pragyan Ojha also remained good, who got 2/27 and 2/11 respectively. Now it’s up to batting side that which kind of performance they show in the field as the bowlers have shown a good work and provided team a better chance to win. Much depend on opening batsmen if they showed good performance then, India would easily win this match. But you should also not under-estimate opponent’s attack as they have home crowd and home ground advantage and they have recently defeated India in the tri-series.
