She was born on the fourteenth day of April in the annum ‘35. She was raised in a farm at Butcher Hollow in the state of Kentucky. Her father Melvin Ted Webb was a renowned farmer, coalminer and a store keeper of the small town. Her mother Clara Marie was a housewife. Loretta Lynn was the second of the nine siblings. It was since childhood that she has the passion for singing which made her an admired church singer. When she was only thirteen, her parents forced to get married to Oliver Vanetta Lynn or ‘Doolittle’. She stopped singing after that but made her children learn the art of music. Loretta Lynn was presented a guitar on her twenty fourth birthday by her husband and it was when she decided to step into signing on a professional level. Her marital life lasted for fifty years. The couple used to fight a lot but it was the sweetest in the family.
The seventy five years old Loretta made a public appearance on the fourth day of June ‘10 at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium where she answered questions about her personal and professional life. She told that she has got more than one hundred and sixty songs, more than fifty top country songs as well as seventy albums to her name and it has been fifty years that she is singing and will continue to do so till her breath is taken away. Her voice is as honest, charming and sturdy as was fifty years ago.
