Osmosis Jones

If there could be one movie flick that I would (and could) nominate to win an award for having one of the most trippy and corny plots, my unfaltering decision would be to nominate Osmosis Jones for that particular award; the film, as interesting and as full of a message as a health awareness move flick can be, is a serious trip and definitely qualifies as corny without the slightest of doubt.

As his name does suggest in itself; yes, Osmosis Jones is definitely the sort of entity that is out there to do well and work for the betterment of the environment. But the “environment” that we speak of here and the one that is depicted in the movie flick is no place other than the inner body activities taking place inside the body of Frank; a bummed out employee at the Rhode Island based Sucat Memorial Zoo who loves to live off of junk and high calorie food without having

much concern for the purity or hygiene of his diet. And Osmosis Jones is the name of the white blood cell that must protect the body of Frank from the invasion and attacks of deadly viruses and diseases.

The role of his arch enemy is played by “Thrax”; a virus that has threatened to kill Frank within a max time frame of forty eight hrs. It is the showdown between Osmosis Jones and Thrax in these forty eight hrs that really make up the main plot of the whole movie flick.
