Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) and his mother move to China. Dre likes a girl in the school and is bullied by a Chinese boy Cheng. Dre is saved by Mr. Han after a beating from Cheng. Han heals his wounds by a miraculous ‘Chinese medicine’ and trains him for self
defense. Han visits Cheng’s mentor Li to bring peace among them. However he ends up with a promise to fight the Li students in an upcoming tournament. Han trains Dre in an amusing manner and Dre reaches semi finals of the competition. Li asks Cheng to break Dre’s leg during the fight. Dre gets wounded and asks Han to heal him to finish the tournament. Dre manages to defeat Cheng by exhibiting ‘cobra style’.
